What is PRP?
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) consists of plasma, or the clear liquid portion of blood, and concentrated platelets, a type of blood component that plays a crucial role in healing. Platelets contain growth factors that trigger cellular healing and stimulate tissue regeneration in damaged or diseased tissue. PRP is a biologic compound that contains more concentrated platelets than normal creating an intense healing environment.
The difference in our harvesting
We use a proprietary system for platelet harvesting and preparation that uses special collection equipment to not only concentrate the platelets but also remove the majority of the inflammatory white blood cells from the PRP making for a better, more purified PRP for musculoskeletal injections.
